Things I love: Melissa

Melissa is our resident stacking aficionado, nail art enthusiast, and reincarnated mermaid.  She has Lady Godiva length hair, can draw a very cute cat (on paper and on nails!), and can instagram the hell outta jewelry.  Here are a few things she loves:

Meaghan (aka MER) is a seasoned catbirdette – she knows all the secret inner workings of the nest and makes sure things run smoothly around here. She's a bird that'll ease your stress and make you happy every time you see her.  When she's not working her magic, you'll find her at a show practically every day of the week or throwing a themed party with her big loving family.  Here are a few things she loves:

Things I love – Correy

We start celebrating holidays early here around here in case no one has noticed.  Thanksgiving happened in our minds the week after Halloween and Christmas was over by the first week in December.  So naturally it's time to start celebrating the day of St. Valentine.

So we got to talking about Valentine's Day and the idea of love and the different kinds of love.  Great love stories, famous lovers, what it's like to be in love, degrees of love, loving someone or something, and to be in love with an idea.

Since we are so lucky to work with a group of eclectic, passionate ladies (and one gentleman!) we had everyone gather a list of things that they love.  And now we will share them with you, one by one.
It's full of wonderful people, places, ideas, and (some catbird) things we love in this world.

If you follow our various social media outlets, you will know Correy from her daily instagram posts, tweets, and facebook status updates.  She wears many hats around here but most of you will recognize her keeping us in good conversations on the interweb.  She loves wearing oversized sweaters, clogs, and lipstick.  And she looooves dogs!  I could go on and on.  Here are a few more things that Correy loves (in her own words).

• My schnoodle Russel Ronald. I enjoy spending lazy Sundays with Russ and Grace. 
• My gorgeous Mama & Grandma Law
• Building stacks (particularly ones that include rings by Catbird, Bittersweets, and Satomi)
• Taking Rosewater Baths with Bath Salts 'cuz I'm real fancy. 
• Online shopping
• Ear Cuffs paired with a high pony tail that I don't have.
• My Rachel Comey oxblood clogs
• Red Manicure paired with a Red Lip – sometimes the perfect pink will do.
• Michigan because, well, it's incredible.

How We Wear It: Necklaces

I can't stop thinking about necklaces and I really can't stop thinking about stacking piles of them around my neck (I quite literally put together a different stack daily that I am then convinced I absolutely need).

I'd venture to say that Lizzie has four of the coolest stacked fingers I have ever seen. There isn't a metal, stone or texture that this gal doesn't wear and, as you can see, she wears them all effortlessly.

How We Wear It: Leigh

It's no wonder that our buyer, Leigh, has some of the fanciest hands in Brooklyn. Her finger real estate is high and she only allows herself to buy and wear pieces with significant meaning, two of which were passed on to her from her mother (seen here, her bracelet and top ring on her center finger).

Meaghan is really great at giving multiple Catbird designers love within her stacks. Simple Wedding Rings

Joanna Goddard, at the always delightful Cup of Jo blog has a nice round up of simple wedding bands. She is astute, that one. Many women do indeed go for simple these days. (Not all though!)
