How We Wear It: Leigh

It's no wonder that our buyer, Leigh, has some of the fanciest hands in Brooklyn. Her finger real estate is high and she only allows herself to buy and wear pieces with significant meaning, two of which were passed on to her from her mother (seen here, her bracelet and top ring on her center finger).
Leigh's wedding stack includes a one of a kind engagement ring on top worn with a Satomi Kawakita Thin Band, from $210, and a Catbird Conflict Free Eternity Band, $1,300. On her center finger she wears a prototype for the Bittersweets Memento Mori collection, from $1,200 and a Satomi Kawakita Horizontal Bar Ring, $650.
Oh, and when she isn't testing the newest sparkles from Deborah Lippmann, she is prrretty loyal to a Naked, $16, manicure.
xx coco.
Welcome home.

Refinery 29 just included our newest offering in their latest engagement ring round up, and we couldn't huzzah! their choice any louder if we tried. Marian Maurer's rings are dainty, sparkly, and fit for an Elvin (Elvish?) princess, which are the 3 very, very important qualities in a ring, if you ask us Catbirds.

Satomi's hexagon ring looks so subtly rosy and lovely in 18k rose gold. One of our favorite things about the hexagon rings is their chameleon like nature. There is truly no one who wouldn't happily add one into their mix.p.s. Forgive me the title.

Here's my hands, with my super-fancy wedding manicure, done right across the street from us, by the amazing Naomi, at Hello Beautiful. Squint, and you can tell that my left hand has my name written on my nails, and on my right, his. The best part: they last for a month! Oh, and I'm wearing my St. Kilda Rapture engagement ring, and my wedding rings: a Satomi Kawakita thin band, and a Catbird conflict-free eternity band.

We love helping men pick out engagement rings. We listen to some Zep, ask lots of questions, do a lot of listening, model stacks of rings on our fingers, and soothe some nerves. Our philosophy is, if she loves you, she'll love the ring you pick to be a physical representation of the life you have, and the life you will scheme, dream, and grow together. Our job is to help you tap into everything you know about your beautiful girl; the answer to the "which ring?" question is already there, we just need to help you find it.I helped Jack put together an amazing Katrina LaPenne Old World ring a few months ago. He just posted this cartoon on our Facebook page, featuring the presentation of said ring, and it made us smile so.

Evidence: a stormy blue, dark witch ring suited for this mystery girl. We're not saying who she is, but she's been known to have gone bananas for the offerings of a certain mystery store at 219 Bedford Avenue. I'll leave it to you to put the pieces of this puzzle together.Kimberlin Brown oxidized sterling silver and Ceylon blue sapphire ring, $1120 (also available in 14k gold)

Pleased as punch to be included in Daily Candy's engagement ring round up, along with Bittersweets and St. Kilda, 2 jewelers we love and stock, and local favorites, Erie Basin & Doyle and Doyle. There's another jeweler tucked in the mix that we're itching to get our paws on. Who? We'll let you know. Soon. Promise.

Bario Neal's engagement and wedding rings have been making quite the splash since they arrived to us a few weeks ago. ALL of Bario Neal's jewelry is made with reclaimed precious metals and conflict free diamonds. Sweet. We've got more in the shop, and we love mixing and matching and playing with jewelry. Come. Hang out. Maybe the Van Leeuwen ice cream truck will be parked out front. It'll be fun.

Williamsburg is growing up. To wit, our wedding business has increased many, many fold. When one of our clients requested a black velvet box, the kind that snaps open and shut with a satisfying "snap!" we knew it was time that we grew up, too. And so we present Catbird's totally all grown up black velvet ring boxes.
