Things I love: Melissa

Melissa is our resident stacking aficionado, nail art enthusiast, and reincarnated mermaid.  She has Lady Godiva length hair, can draw a very cute cat (on paper and on nails!), and can instagram the hell outta jewelry.  Here are a few things she loves:

Anatomy of a Stack: Dark & Stormy

We had a very very good day today.  The birds looked beautiful, photos were taken, charcuterie was eaten (and pronounced correctly), and jewels were stacked high on all the catbirds.   Someone mayyy have had a sip of wine and ended up half naked wearing only this stack............................stay tuned!

Anatomy of a Stack: Baguettes

I imagine the perfect day will be when I get to eat a baguette while wearing one of these baguettes.
Or all three :)

Pretty as a present: the video!

Check out how we're wearing our hair for the holidays.  Starring the ever so talented Ash and Lizzie, with her long blonde mermaid hair, we made a little video to show you just how it's done.

See what Ash and Lizzie are wearing (and gifting!) here.

Pretty as a present
Directed and edited by Think/Feel's Chell Stephen.
Music is by our very own Steph and her band Desert Sharks.

Anatomy of a Stack: The Perfect Bow

We've been tying bows around everything – lizzie's head, pretty presents for lucky ladies (and gentlemen), and now Erica Weiner has made the most beautiful bow ring for our fingers.

No need to stack this one, it's quite perfect alone if you ask us.

Anatomy of a Stack: It's hard to go wrong with the Ancienne

Inspired by Refinery 29's roundup of "I do!" worthy engagement rings, I selected this little stack to compliment the Ancienne Diamond Ring, $2,840.  It's hard to go wrong with this beauty, so I jazzed it up with two other favorites, the 18k yellow gold Clara Band by Ila & I, $1,590 and Katie Diamond's 18k yellow gold Carina Ruby Band with Diamonds, $2,254.  Colorful and festive, perfect for a holiday "I do!"

Anatomy of a Stack: Spooning

This stack is a bit peculiar and on first sight I would have never thought to layer these two rings together.  But I fell in love and couldn't stop obsessing over this duo.

The crab claw wraps itself so perfectly around the triangle, it's like they're spooning.  It's just too cute.

Everybody wants to be a cat.

Anatomy of a Stack: A Bird's Staple Stack

You can often spot some variation of this stack on any Catbird.  It is a staple of ours and somehow we all manage to find different ways to wear the same rings.  That's the beauty of it.

Lucky for you all, most of them are on sale (but only until tomorrow!) so you can try too.

1. Evil Eye Ring, $288;  2&3 Threadbare, $44;  4. Rose Gold First Knuckle Ring, from $64;
5. Gold Twisted Stacker, $64

Anatomy of a Stack: Nan's Necklaces

Coco and I nearly fought over this new lapis necklace.  That, as well as ALL the other new pieces from Nancy Kraskin.  She won and is seen here wearing Nan's new lapis necklace stacked with her staple teardrop.  They are just 1 inch different in length which creates the most ideal necklace stack.
And they look awfully cute on freckly summer skin.

1. Tiny Lapis Necklace, $286;  2. Teardrop Necklace, $298

Anatomy of a Stack: Satomi Stack

We've always had a crush on Satomi, but we've never seen a stack from her quite like this – we love the mix of texture and the vintage feel of the white gold.

Tiny City Band, $170;  Golden Plait Band, from $320;  Rosecut solitaire with a white diamond, from $960, all in white gold.  Available in store and online.

Anatomy of a Stack: Star Stack

Journey through the cosmos with a stack of diamonds and stars.  The stars can represent your children, your anniversary, a special day or however many tacos you like to eat for lunch.

Catbird Gold Star Ring, $92;  Catbird Silver Star Ring, $56;  Satomi Kawakita The Tiniest Diamond Ring, $230, all available in store and online.

3 points.

1. The Klaia triangle ring by Odette works perfectly to spearhead the top of a stack, or on it's own.
2. Beach House, a favorite amongst us birds, has a new record coming out May 15. Listen here.
3. We ordered some triangulation wonderfulness. Will be revealed shortly.

Klaia ring, $110 in store and online

Honestly...wtf

The extremely lovely ladies at the intoxicating and addictive (seriously, be careful) blog Honestly WTF, wrote a delightful post about our alphabet rings. Thanks ladies!! We love WTF in delicate gold. Also she's rockin' the first knuckle ring with aplomb.

What We Love Today: Blanca's Stacking Ring

Shown here in one of my favorite combinations: rose gold and oxidized silver, with some baby diamonds tucked in for sparkle. If you are working on a good stack, this is a nice investment.

So so so Satomi!

We were so excited to get Satomi Kawakita's rings in the store, we were marking off the days in the calendar. Then, she turns up to drop off our order with her fingers looking like such. Suffice it to say, we are officially in love with Satomi.
