What We're Giving: Catherine

Catherine is our graphic design extraordinaire, the Catbirdette behind everything from the direction of our latest look book (Off Duty Ballerina!) to that killer neon sign in the Catbird Wedding Annex. Kind of an obvious statement for me to say she has a great design sensibility, which is why I've been looking forward to peeking at her gift list!
I'm giving Rodin Lip Balm rings to my gal pals. I love finding gifts that strike that perfect balance between casual and fancy. The most refined lip balm in a pretty kitsch container hits the mark.
The Swan Ring is for my mom. As a Catbirdette who joined the team this year, I'm so excited to be a part of our ten year celebration, which almost everyone here worked on! My mom also collects unique pieces of jewelry from all over the world, but she doesn't own a swan from Brooklyn (yet).
For my fiancé, the Equilateral Nails (and an appointment to the Wedding Annex. Haha). The nails are made by my friends at Winsome Brave, and are perfect for the apartment sprucing we're planning for the new year.

Anna is our super awesome web manager -- the gatekeeper to the flurry of holiday orders coming in and shipping out to Kittens worldwide. Her whole system kind of mystifies me because I know hundreds of requests are passing through her everyday, but she never seems to break a sweat?! So what's the lady who gets all of you your holiday presents on time giving her BFF?
Anna's giving her best friend the Les Fleurs Wall Calendar -- complete with 12 Rifle Paper Co. illustrations to mark 2015. The calendar is being paired with the porcelain swan mug, our favorite vessel for morning caffeine jolts.

Leigh is dolling out the sweetest lollipops to the sweetest babes she knows. And our new Kitten Onesie is going to the babe's babies.
As for Leigh's Chihuahua, Teepee, well she's getting a crop top version of the onesie because she fits into it perfectly and dusty violet is so her color.
Hand-painted lollipops available in marshmallow full and crescent moon and champagne stars.
Custom Chihuahua crop top not for sale. Unless Leigh is willing to make you one.

Sriya

We had to interrupt our regularly scheduled What We're Giving to share this sweet "one for me, one for you" idea, courtesy of Sea of Shoes' Jane Aldridge and LoveGoldLive. Jane gifted her sister our Dollhouse Locket, and herself one to match. Get creative and include a little illustration or note on the inside to make it extra thoughtful.
"It is such a simple gift to give, but the sentiment behind it stands the test of time. I fell in love with the minimalist design of this locket by Catbird. When I saw it I knew it was something my sister would love. I love the idea of sharing matching gold lockets with her, and I’m so glad to have found the perfect gift for us to share."

1. For my lovely gramamma, Yiye, Isa's Restoratives Lilac Rouge, $22.00, some of Catbird's Travel Candles, $12.00, for her porch (especially when the Southern Spring comes back) and finally, the Up in The Air Gold Bottom Dish, $42.00, so she can stow her finger's worth of amazing rings.
2. For my ever picky (yet classy as a mofo) younger sister, it's a grab bag of the Gold Sparkler Star Bobby Pin, $18.00, Roberts Florentine Rosewater, $10.00, and Deborah Lippmann's Cleopatra in New York, $16.00, a representation of her ever-evolving commitment to simple beauty.
3. I'd love to give my amazing momma John Derian's Rose With Ant Plate, $48.00 - a lovely reminder for when winter has taken all the flowers away. Add onto that, a dedication to my mom's spirit, the Slip Into The Darkness Gift Set, $132.00 (perfect for the gothic Southern narrative embedded in our veins).

1. My mum loves simplicity. This Plain Gold Chain, $132, is the perfect addition to her entire wardrobe.
2. My sister, Ella, loves quirky jewelry like this dainty little Pinky Club Ring, $175. And I love the idea of inscribing it with something personal.
3. My best friend, Sophia and I had our second piercing done together in Paris last year. One of these Chained to My Heart Earrings, starting at $140, would be perfect for her second ear piercing! Plus, diamond is her birthstone.
4. My best friend's name is Kitty and she likes to pile on delicate, interesting rings. She would especially love that this ring is handmade, making each one unique. Bittersweets NY Cat Ring, $150.
I plan to take a note from Rosie this year and make each of my family members blush over their gorgeous gifts!! Stay tuned to see what the rest of our birds are giving! If you're looking for other gift ideas check out What To Give! xx coco

We asked our beautiful birds what they plan to gift this year and each gift they so thoughtfully put together was just as adorable as the next! These are Elana's gifts for her ever so secret BFF's.
BFF #1 Seeing as she is one of the sweetest girls on the planet, it makes perfect sense that when it comes to her you can never go wrong with sugar so I will be giving her a bottle of Cardamom-Clove Syrup, $11, to spice up her Eggnog and a matching set of Brooklyn tumblers, $25/each in store, for each of us so we can sip our Eggnog under a blanket while watching Freaks and Geeks for the thousandth time.
BFF #2 I have heard enough ghost stories from this girl to know exactly what she wants - I will be getting her a Tarot Deck by The Wild Unknown, $40, + a Tarot Deck Candle, $12, and I will be be fully expecting a cozy (and creepy) winter full of invitations to tarot readings + séances at her house.
BFF #3 I feel confident that she will give the Salut! Flask, $22, a loving home in her pocket and because I am a responsible friend, I'm also giving her a Compass Keychain, $8, just to make sure she always finds her way home after the party.
Stay tuned to see what the rest of our birds are gifting! If you're looking for other gift ideas check out What To Give! xx coco
