Dream Date: Lady in Lace.

Though it's balmy in Brooklyn today, winter began batting her lashes early this year, whispering in our ears with her crackling, clean, icy breath. Winter calls for fantasy, dreams of crystal palaces and troikas, and a thick shawl drawn close over black lace.

The Sound of Winter

This icy weather is making me want to brew up some cinnamon hot chocolate (I just made that up) and watch The Sound of Music with my kids. I have never actually seen it! However, my young son, shown here about 2 years ago, seems to be quite smitten with it.
