What We Love Today: Rosewater Cleansing Gel

Days are longer, dusks are pinker, and I am slowly parting ways with my beloved winter. There are lilacs drooping from a vase on my bedside table towards my pillow, and as it goes for me, this time every year, I'd like the world to smell like roses. And so, I'm cleansing (face and body) with our new arrival, Roberts Florentine Rosewater Cleansing Gel. It's light, mild, and redolent of rose, and the arrival of springtime.

Lamby's Lamb

As a dog obsessed lady, I am really into stories of people rescuing their new best friend they never realized they truly needed until they met. If you too are a dog person, you know, you often find yourself greeting the pup walking toward you before the human (opps!), you should absolutely read Lena Dunham's tale "A Box Full of Puppies" of her long awaited journey towards her newest BFF, Lamby, pictured above.

A bit jealous, we will admit, that Lamb as well as Lamby's Lamb made it into the New Yorker before any of us, nonetheless, we couldn't help but blush, smirk and squeal when we saw them photographed together. Such a handsome pair those two.

The Green Room

It rained all day, and we tromped around, searching for a bottle of mini champagne and even smaller coupes. The wind gusted, we ate lunch at our round table, and one of our lady birds painted tiny kittens on our nails. The days are longer, spring is coming, but Virginia Woolf is calling me home, so off to bed I go, where an old paperback is waiting for me.

Creeper.

It was snowing this morning, big fat flakes dashing downwards on the bias, and now the ground is nearly dry and the sun is shining over the Williamsburg Bridge. Spring, are you flirting with us? To be clear, winter is my first love. It's important that I'm honest with you, Spring - you are lovely, but winter weekend mornings have my heart.

A teensy sneak peek at our photo shoot last Friday at the dreamy Loft Lounge Studios with the talented Mike Spears. Loft Lounge Studios makes you want to, just as the name suggests, lounge in each of the cozy corners or bask in the sun and or moonlight in the overgrown windows!

Mike quickly made each of the birds comfortable in front of the lens and we instantly began frolicking around in jeweled paws, wrists, ears and necks, burned loads of Catbird candles, played a quick game of backgammon and then raided Mike's amazing record collection,  all squealing upon finding a Fleetwood Mac vinyl!
